Candy Valentino
Candy Valentino (real name Laura Mancini) is a writer, copywriter, journalist, blogger and press agent from Rome – Italy.
She began her experience with journalism while she was a student at the University La Sapienza and became editor in chief of the university newspaper. She practiced with a monthly newspaper of Rome and became a registered member of the Italian journalist association in 2006 and after that she wrote for several web magazines, beginning from the Italian Teatro.it – working as editor in chief for 4 years – passing through many “digital” and web jazz music magazines – until she became a drama and music critic for the National daily newspaper Il Giornale. Her international blog about art and live show is Moozart.
From 2015 until 2017 Laura wrote for the American webzine West 46th Magazine, beginning to sign her articles – produced both in Italian and English language – about music and fashion with the pseudonym Candy Valentino. She had the chance to follow the most important fashion shows and to interview many famous stylists as well as some very talented emerging artists of the fashion system. Her column “It’s in fashion” was based on the comparison between the Italian and international cultures and approach to fashion and focused on the ethical and ecological choices of many fashion companies.
In 2017 Candy created the new fashion brand Pupy, launching a collection of paintings for children’s garment. In the same year, CandyValentino.it blog was born.
On social networks and in particular on Instagram, she shares photos, videos and stories about her travels and tours through the regions of Italy, trying to bring her followers closer to Italian fashion and Italian food and wine.
